HIGHLIGHT REEL

My ideal work environment is having the freedom to design inclusively and collaborate on diverse projects with passionate teams who jibe well. Luckily, I’ve been able to do just this, both in-house and in an agency, with some amazing clients, designers, researchers, developers, and PMs on some interesting digital projects. Please download my portfolio above or reach out if you would like a deeper project walkthrough, otherwise here are high level summaries of my favourite design projects

VANcouver ART GALLERY, Award-winning installation

The Vancouver Art Gallery’s exhibit explored the transformative influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the development and production of visual culture. We were approached by the gallery’s head curators to design and develop a functional art piece which visualized visitor data.

Our piece, ‘Creepers’, is an AI-driven installation piece which tracked gallery visitor movements using an unobtrusive AI camera (StereoL which maps their movements with aesthetic, coloured lines on a screen, and allows visitors to map themselves onto the piece.

Modo, the oldest car sharing coop in BC, approached us to re-platform (to Webflow) and redesign their website. We also aided them in getting analytics.

I championed how we could better align their branding with their existing mobile app; I led rethinking the site map which led to an overall site restructuring, menu overall, and change in user flow. I supported with rethinking their design components and content, ultimately reducing clutter. Ultimately, they have received fewer customer questions to the call centre.

TELUS INTERNET USER JOURNEY REDESIGN

Our team collaborated with two teams at Telus to establish a clearer design strategy, support frequent A/B tests, and specify a more effective way-finding system for their internet sales user flow on their B2C site.

Key design choices we made for the navigation, based on feedback and user testing, increased Telus's internet sale conversation rates, customer click-through rates to different key points in the journey, and the overall amount of time spent in the internet section.

AI Web-building

Design and development for a dinky personal project site, harnessing AI to churn out two truths and a lie... or 2truths&AI as well as market some risograph prints related to the topic.

The aim of this project was to design and develop everything and see how I could harness machine learning to build a site which served multiple purposes.

PERSONAL PROJECT | Capturing and developing film

Having always been fascinated by the haptics of film cameras, I explored the
whole process deeply by making pinhole cameras and developing my old film.

Taking a photo becomes more of an event, compared to a fleeting smartphone picture. From colour to black and white developing and making pinholes out of different shapes, it has become of my many creative pastimes outside of work.

LASER CUT COLLECTION OF POSTERS

AI WEB-BUILDING

AI WEB-BUILDING

Matisse’s jazz manifesto was one of the key reasons I chose to change careers from finance to design.

So, as a personal project, I set out to recreate this seminal piece but base it on another genre (house, acid house etc.).

My goal was to encapsulate the feeling of the music using similar, perhaps modernized techniques, to Matisse (gouaches découpées) to make a poster collection.
